OnePlus is a bit behind in releasing the Android Pie for some of its models, such as last year’s line tops OnePlus 5 and 5T .
But by the looks of it, the manufacturer will finally release a version of Oxygen OS based on the newest edition of Android.
In a recent publication in the official forum of the brand, a representative of the company made it clear that a new version of testing of Oxygen OS will be released very soon for the models in question.
The company has been criticized on social networks for focusing only on releasing new versions of the system for OnePlus 6T – which has already won three updates based on Android 9 Pie.
Meanwhile, owners of OnePlus 6 were treated to a trial version of Oxygen OS based on Pie a few days ago , which included some features previously exclusive to 6T.
With the last two tops of the brand running Android Pie, now the owners of OnePlus 5 and 5T look forward to their turn.
Last week the manufacturer released a trial version of Hydrogen OS based on the Pie for the 5 and 5T, but interestingly, the global version was not contemplated – possibly because many changes had to be made at the last minute.
Anyway, since the development is almost finished, next week we should see a new version of Oxygen OS Open Beta for 5 and 5T, after all, it’s been three weeks since the last version of the tests of the system has been released for these models.
