Meizu 16s with Snapdragon 855 Brain Officially Launches

Meizu officially launched its newest flagship smartphone, Meizu 16s . Interestingly, this smartphone comes with a large Super AMOLED screen, support for Snapdragon 855 SoC and OIS’s two camera settings.

The Meizu 16s comes with a 6.2-inch FullHD + Super AMOLED screen plus a fingerprint under display sensor. Meizu also stressed that they have partnered with Samsung to deliver high-quality screens by minimizing harmful effects on the user’s eyes.

Meizu claims that the screen installed on its flagship smartphone is able to filter 33 percent of the dangerous blue light. In addition, the screen used also supports DC dimming to reduce the user’s eye strain.

The screen-to-body ratio of this smartphone reaches 91.53 percent. Meizu also completes the 16s with stereo speakers that are claimed to be able to give out more optimal sound. The front camera has a size of 20 MP which is equipped with HDR + support and an optimized portrait mode.

At the rear, Meizu 16s has been equipped with dual camera settings with Sony’s main lens with 48 MP resolution plus an f / 1.7 aperture. Not to forget, Meizu 16s also inserts the OIS feature with the Bayer Quad structure. While the secondary lens is 20 MP with an aperture of f / 2.6.

This new setting also allows Meizu 16s to have a “Super Night View” which is a night mode for combining up to 8 photos into one image in low-light shooting. Another addition is a feature to reduce multi-frame noise.

Another attraction is the brain embedded in Meizu 16s. Yes! This smartphone comes with the support of Snapdragon 855 SoC which combines a choice of 6GB and 8GB DDR4X RAM. Meanwhile, the internal storage is 128 GB and 256 GB.

For power supply business, the Meizu 16s has a battery capacity of 3,600 mAh and is equipped with fast charging mCharge 24W. Meizu also claims that charging batteries from 0 to 60 percent only takes about 30 minutes.

In terms of the software sector, Meizu 16s runs with the Flyme 7.3 interface based on Android 9 Pie. For users who will use this smartphone to play games, Meizu also inserts the Hyper Gaming mode feature and mEngine 3.0.

The 6GB + ROM 128GB RAM variant is sold at a price of CNY 3,198 or around IDR 6.7 million . Meanwhile, for the other two variants, 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 8GB + ROM 256 RAM, it is sold at a price of CNY 3,498 and CNY 3,998 or around Rp. 7,3 million and Rp . 8,4 million .

There are three color choices offered, namely Carbon Black, Pearl White, and Phantom Blue. Initially marketed in China, Meizu 16s will be offered pre-order starting April 23, 2019 and will be sold directly starting April 28, 2019.
