Last year OPPO released OPPO RX17 Pro and OPPO RX17 Neo on the European market. Yes! The smartphone came to the European market with the name OPPO R17 and R17 Neo because of legal problems with the name. Now, OPPO is facing the same thing again.
The smartphone manufacturer from China is preparing to patent OPPO Reno Z and Reno F at the EUIPO body, the European Union Intellectual Property Office. This means, Reno Z mid-range OPPO will be coming soon on the European market along with devices that seem to be more affordable handsets.
OPPO Reno Z itself was packed by OPPO with back panels such as its brothers, OPPO Reno and OPPO Reno 10X Zoom. It’s just that OPPO Reno Z has a bangs screen on the front, different from OPPO Reno and Reno 10X Zoom with a “shark fin” selfie camera.
OPPO also secretly released OPPO Reno Z at the end of May 2019 with the Helio P90 chipset from MediaTek. Interestingly, OPPO also embed this 6.4-sized AMOLED display technology and inserted the fingerprint under display capabilities.
Currently the smartphone is only available in China in four color choices, including the eye-catching Coral Orange. Reno Z is sold for CNY 2,499 or around IDR 5 million. It is estimated, when it arrived at the European market the price was not much different.
While Reno F is the moniker that we saw for the first time. Not a few who suspect, this smartphone is OPPO K3 for the European market. Even so, OPPO has a tendency to launch new smartphones, so it’s no wonder that it’s a totally different handset.
Or, it could also be one way for OPPO to patent and protect the Reno brand. Now, we will continue to wait for OPPO’s breakthrough in the Benua Biru market through the new smartphone that will be announced, especially from the OPPO line of the Reno Series.
